Mother Zettie Mae Parson was born to the union of Ernest and Guerenner "Que" Price Sr. on July 9, 1929 in Olive Branch, Mississippi. She was the eldest of four siblings. Zettie acknowledged Christ as her personal Savior at a very early age under the pastoral direction of the late Superintendant W.E. Garner. She continued to grow in Christ and confess her love and devotion through her Lord and Savior throughout her life journey. Zettie met the love of her life James Parson and the love story blossomed and on December 24, 1948 they were united in holy matrimony in Hernanda, Mississippi. Zettie loved family and was affectionately called "Muh" by her children and loved ones. "Muh" was a retired employee of the Hostess Cake Bakery where she had over thirty years of dedicated service. "Muh" loved to cook and would open her home on Sunday's for her family, church family and anyone who wanted to come and feast. A meal with "Muh" had a reputation known for harvesting the mind, body and soul with a lot of love. To the end of the road, Mother Zettie Mae Parson remained steadfast in the Lord. She was a faithful and devoted member of The Church ~ Church of God in Christ under the Shepherd leadership of Pastor Kennedy Lockhart. She served on various ministries within the church including the Mother's Board. Mother Zettie was highly honored and favored to be named "Mother" of the church.
