Public Viewing and flower deliveries will be on Thursday, July 21 from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm at Watson's Funeral Home 10913 Superior Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44106. Zion of Oakwood Village, located at One Mt.Zion Circle Oakwood Village, Ohio 44146 with family visitation starting at 10:00 am and funeral services at 10:30 am. Zada Jean Davis, affectionately called Gram, was born to the late Roy and Mabel Clark in South Bend, Indiana. Zada was raised in Salem, Ohio and graduated from Glenville High School. As a teenager, she joined Bethany Baptist Church where she was a soloist in the Sanctuary Choir for most of her life. In 1948, Zada married the late Calvin Wade, Sr. From this union, four children were born; Roy "Butch" (Kim), Calvin Jr. "Skip", Denise, all whom preceded her in death and Renee. Gram was always sweet, kind and giving. She would do anything for her grandchildren to make their lives better in every way. She loved her family and enhanced all of our lives with her Christian values and beliefs. She was always referred to as the beautiful lady by everyone and was always shy when receiving the compliment. In 1972, Zada married Harry A. Davis with whom she spent the rest of her life. During their lives together, they enjoyed camping, traveling, spending time with friends and especially their family, grandchildren and great-grands. Zada retired from the Board of Education after 25 years where she served as a teacher's assistant, driver's education instructor and school bus driver. A piece of her heart was being the proud member of the oldest African American family reunion, COMAR (Cyrus-Ormes-Manzilla-Annual Reunion). This year will be the 126th annual reunion held in Salem, Ohio. In the past ten years, she became a member of Morning Start Baptist Church. Exactly one month prior to Zada going to glory, she lost her love, Harry. They are now together, as they both would have wanted to spend their lives, eternally. She leaves to cherish her memory; loving daughter, Renee, who was right by her side for the last six months, her precious grandchildren, Lorean, Lisa (Zdenko), Monte, DeShawn (Melodie), and darling great-grand children, Nia, Ivan, DeJa, and Candence, Maxim and a host of family and friends.
