Willie Samuel Bowman Jr. was born, August 9, 1944 in Anniston Alabama. He was the eldest son of ten children to Willie Samuel Bowman Sr. and Mary W. Bowman (nee Menefree), both deceased. Willie was educated in St. Clair county Alabama where he graduated in 1965. He moved to Cleveland, Ohio in the late ‘60's where he was a factory worker for many years, because of health problems he left the factories and worked at Grand Pointe Healthcare until he retired. Willie was married to Carolyn Davis weaver on February 11, 1994, and was affectionately known as "Big Will" by her children and friends. He became acquainted with Jehovah's Witnesses through his wife and studied the Bible for 2 years; he fell asleep in death August 28, 2015. He will be greatly missed. Willie leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 21 years; four step-children, Angela Weaver, Cozette Jones (JC), Josclyn Weaver all of Cleveland, Ohio; one son, Reginald Weaver (Michelle) of Seattle Washington; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Willie B. Davis (Marion) of Columbus, Georgia and James Davis of Union City, Tennessee; one uncle, Ralph Bowman of San Diego, California; six sisters, Geraldine McGee of Columbus, Ohio, Elaine Brewster (Wallace), Mary Johnson (John), Althea Parker, Vanessa Allen (Johnny Ray), Henrietta Nun, All of Alabama; three sisters preceded him in death, Ann Davis, Eunice Turner and Octavia Williams; one brother, Harold Bowman (Jackie) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; including one special friend for many years, Mrs. Ella Kane.
