William Raymond Clark

November 23, 1948 — December 25, 2021

William Raymond Clark was born on November 23, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the third of fourteen children born to Russell Sr. (Deceased) and Louise Clark (Deceased).

William was affectionately known as "Watergate" or "Gate". He graduated from John Hay High School in Cleveland, Ohio. William voluntarily enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served his country along with his brother now retired Chief Master Sergeant Russell Clark, Jr. In his earlier years, William was a member of the Masonic Fraternity and a Shriner.

"Watergate" was a faithful Employee for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #38 (IBEW). His apprenticeship as an electrical journeyman garnered him many opportunities to travel throughout the world. Some of "Gates" most notable wiring was the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland State University, and the Downtown KeyBank buildings. He was also identified for his superior work ethic, his very humorous personality, and use of broken English.

William enjoyed spending time with his dogs, attending family reunions, family gatherings, Air Shows at Toni's, all forms of martial arts, playing chess, and teaching his siblings how to play chess. His other hobbies were hand dancing, listening to music, riding his motorcycle with the Soul Players, and relaxing at home while watching his favorite Westerns, Maverick, Gun Smoke, and The Big Valley.

Watergate led a resilient, thoughtful, compassionate, loyal, and diligent life. He was a man of his word and would go above and beyond his call to duty, to ensure individuals that he would complete projects that he started. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

William leaves to cherish his memory two children: Son: William Rome Maxey (Sharlene) Daughter: Chisa Clark Shihadeh (Joseph).
