Thomas Mcclinton, Jr.

April 29, 1948 — March 19, 2018

Thomas McClinton Jr better known as "Tee" by friends and family was born on April 29th, 1948, the son of Irene and Thomas McClinton Sr of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. After moving to Cleveland, Ohio in 1959 Thomas McClinton Jr attended Wade Park Elementary school, Addison Junior High School, and graduated from Thomas Edison High School. Tee joined the military in 1968 so his brothers would not have to and went on to serve a 12-month combat tour in Vietnam. After the military Thomas chose an employment opportunity at Bobbie Brooks on 40th and Perkins and later went on to pursue a career at Ford Motor Company in 1976, where he met and married Saundra (Sandy) Mitchell. He was an active member of the United Auto Workers 1250. After 30 years of working at Ford he retired in 2007. Tee was a man of great humor, and a few words unless provoked to host lengthy conversations. However, when moved he always made light of anything heavy to help calm another person's spirit. He was all about making you smile. His love and humor were his greatest attribute. Tee loved children and was a superb father to not only his children, but other children in the community. He was an advocate for children's well-being and success. He always wanted his children and other children to have the best things in life especially "good credit". Because of his love for children led him mentoring children in his spare time at the Boys Town Children's Home located in Berea, Ohio. His passion for health and fitness was also a very prominent part of his life as he ran marathons and boxed in the prestigious Golden Gloves tournaments. Tee is preceded in death by his parents Irene and Thomas Sr., his brothers Arlington and Scyphio and his son "Rico." He is survived by his children, Skyla, Tommy, Tinita, Danyelle and Matthew. Siblings, Sam and Aretha. Sandy, Dawn and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. Tee will be remembered for his giving, loving, and unconditional love for everyone.
