Thomas A. Jones, Sr.

Thomas Anthony Jones was born on January 3rd, 1938 in Asheville, North Carolina. His parents were Charles Jones and Marcella Thomas, and his sister is Lillian Scott. Tom enlisted in the army and began his law-enforcement career as an "MP." After graduating from the police academy, he began serving the Cleveland Heights community as a police officer. Later, he joined the Richmond Heights Police Department and was promoted to the rank of sergeant, where he continued to protect and serve until his passing on June 28th, 2019. Tom loved cars and enjoyed bike riding, traveling, and attending church at Saint Philomena Parish. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marcella Jones. Tom leaves a son, Thomas JR; daughter, Tracy, and granddaughter, Sasha Head, along with a host of friends, to cherish his memory.
