Thomas Howard Jones, Sr.

Thomas Howard Jones "T.J." was born on August 1, 1952 to Aubrey & Viola Jones in Mt. Hope, West Virginia. Tommy, his parents and seven siblings came to Cleveland when Tommy was three years old. He attended Hough Elementary and graduated from John Hay High School in 1972. Tommy then enlisted in the U.S. Marines with his brother Larry on the buddy system. He served proudly from 1973 to 1975. Tommy returned home and married Geneva and to their union two children were born, Thomas Jr. and Sheneva. Tommy worked various jobs throughout the years and always kept more than one and sometimes three jobs at a time. He enjoyed his time as a cook and took great pride in this choice. Tommy then decided to take a sabbatical to travel and did that for years. Tommy returned home in 2010 after completing his travels not well, he lived out the remainder of his life with his family. Tommy took his final trip on December 25, 2017. He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Felicia Carrington, Thomas Jones Jr., and Sheneva Jones; nine grandchildren, Tayanna Brendon, Jeffrey, Erin, Dasha, Dee Anthony, Tyshawn, Dontone and Cincer; three sisters, Patricia Richards (Harold) both deceased, Betty Jones (deceased) and Barbara Enoch (Charles, deceased); four brothers, Aubrey Jones (Ethel), Richard Jones (deceased), Larry Jones and Ronald Jones (Loretta); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
