Thelma Elizabeth Clark was born in Brooklyn, New York on Nov 22, 1935 as the youngest of seven children by Dennis and Vivian Clark.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Vivian Clark; brothers, Edwin Clark, Lennard Clark and James Clark; sisters, Cynthia Williams, Clarissa Keyes, and Hellen Clarke; husband, Mr. Winston; and grandson, Richard G. Jones.
Thelma accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and became a faithful member of the church.
As a young woman Thelma moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1962 with her daughter Marguerite Clark age 7 to relocate for better opportunities and create a better family home life.
She went to an Adult Night school,graduated then enrolled at Remington college to take up accounting. Worked years in downtown Federal administration office, administrator at Lakeview Terrace in public housing and had the time to be a foster parent
Attended the seminary of Christian theology and a school for Christian ministries
Mother Thelma Winston of the Historic Greater Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Howard has been faithful to Christ and served the church with a humble heart and giant faith to serve.
Mother Winston made herself available to anyone who needed that helping hand of support for the renewing of the mind and transformed spirit to claim Jesus is Lord.
An Emerald green on Mother Winston would look gorgeous on her when she would wear her favorite color. 1978 by marriage, Thelma Clark became Thelma Winston.
Mother Winston leave to cherish her memory (Da) Marguerite Jones, Amont Jones (grandson), Celina Jones (grandda) Tamia Jones, Taliyah Smith, Angelina Katie and Jeremiah (great-grand da's) and (great-great-grandson) and a host of out of town nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
