Solomon Foy Sr was born April 16, 1945, to the late John B. and Laura Dorsey Foy.
Solomon was preceded in death by four brothers, Inell Foy Sr, John, Eddie, and James Foy; three sisters, Lee Ellen Dorsey, Mary Ellen, and Gertrude Foy; step grandson, Tony Williams; and brother-in-law, Eddie Lee Peterson.
Solomon confessed to Christ at an early age with Bryant Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from George Washington Carver.
Better known as "SOAP", Solomon moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1963, where he worked for Alcon Metal Company until he later retired in 2015. He loved his grandchildren and playing cards.
Solomon leaves to cherish his memories his significant other of 30 years, Queen Harris; two sons, Solomon Foy Jr, and LaShawn Carter; ten grandchildren, and two devoted granddaughters, "MooMoo", and Ja'Loni; two devoted sisters who he loved dearly, Laura M. Foy-Peterson, and Mattie M. Foy-Knight of Montgomery, Alabama; sister-in-law, Willie Mae Foy; two aunts, Mary Williams, and Betty Foy of Montgomery, Alabama; a very special and devoted friend, Blue Barker; as well as a host nephews, nieces, other family and dear friends.
