Savannah Mae Rhoden was born on June 24, 1938, to the union of James and Ethel Lewis in Birmingham, Alabama. She departed this life on December 9, 2022. Savannah was the baby of seven and loved partying with her siblings. In Birmingham, Savannah met and married her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Lewis and gave birth to her first child, Angela. Savannah moved to Cleveland in 1960 and shortly after, she met and married the love of her life, Lawrence Rhoden. Savannah and Lawrence's union produced two children, Carol and Demetria Rhoden. Savannah worked at a variety of jobs throughout her life, some of those being General Electric, Mt. Sinai Hospital, and Cleveland Clinic. Savannah loved to dance, travel, sew, crochet, and complete arts and crafts and pottery. Savannah was very entertaining. She loved to make lavish meals for family gatherings and was an amazing baker with her famous sweet potato pies and various cakes. Savannah was very headstrong and could be feisty at times, but never hesitated to show love and affection. Savannah was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ethel Lewis, her husband, Lawrence E. Rhoden, and her siblings Edna Mae Hood, Ellen Graham, James Lewis, David Lewis, Robert Lewis, Alexander Lewis. Savannah leaves to cherish fond memories three children: Angela McKelton (Michael (Deceased)), Carol Rhoden-Shaw, and Demetria Rhoden; four grandchildren: Tiffany Savannah Richardson, Chelsea Rhoden of Arizona, Chantel Shaw, and Christina Erskine; one great granddaughter Morgane Savannah Grady; and a host of nieces and nephews.
