Salome "Ham" Louise Minnifield Linder born December 23, 1940, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Henry & Ella Thomas Minnifield. She was the youngest sister of Louise (Tudda Minnifield Ellis (deceased) Gertrude (Bae) Minnifield Sanders, Mae (Nap) Minnifield Walker, Odessa (Dig) Minniefield Robinson of Birmingham, Alabama. She accepted Christ at a young age, attending Ullman High School where she graduated.
Salome married Leslie Howard Linder September 30, 1957, at the very young age of 16, followed by a move to Cleveland, Ohio. She was the beloved mother of five children, Alwyn (P-Wee) Linder (deceased), Angela (Angie) Kirby, Ronald (Jody) Linder (deceased) Kevin (Boo) Linder and Ramona (Mona) Linder.
Salome worked at the VA Hospital for 30 years where she retired. She enjoyed cooking, ironing, sewing, dancing, imitating people, and music, especially Al Green. She was the life of the party and always the center of attention. She was a jokester and was known for her wicked tongue and sarcasm what usually comes up came out. To know her is/was to love her, and she will truly be missed.
Salome leaves to mourn Leslie Linder; children, Angela (Kenneth, special son-in-law), Kirby, Kevin Linder, Ramona Linder, Donald Forthner, Denise Caldwell; grandchildren, Keia Thornton, Calvin Kirby, Alwyn Thornton (deceased), Constance Thornton, Maurice Caldwell, Melvin Linder, Kev-Nise Caldwell, Daniela Linder, La'Shell Caldwell, Antwon Davis, Dominique Linder, Tyra Kirby, Kevin Reid, Kev-Nisha Linder, Kelvin and a host of great grands nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
