Sadie B. Price

Saddie B. Price (Frog) was born in Grenada Mississippi, on October 6, 1922, to Jessie Lee Swopshire (Mother) and Sam Swopshire (Father). Saddie confessed to Christ in 1936, at a young age. She served as a dedicated member at East Mount Zion Baptist Church of Cleveland, Ohio. As a member she served as a nurse, usher, and guild. She was a very religious woman who had a strong faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Saddie retired from St. Vincent Charity Hospital after many years of employment. She was a woman of many trades and talents. She was known for her master sewing and quilting techniques. She was also a wonderful southern cook. Saddie went home to glory on August 5, 2011 at approximately 10:15pm at the age of 88 years old at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio with her children and family by her bedside. She was preceded in death by parents, Jessie L. and Sam Swopshire; son, James H. Turner; two grandsons, Arthur King and Roy Lee Anderson and two sisters; Rosie Coanner and Melinda Brewer. Saddie Leaves to cherish her memory 11 children; George Turner (Leflora) (MISS), Saddie M. Anderson (NE), Zelo King (OH), Eather L. King (NE),Wiley King Jr. (OH), Aolder King (OH), D.L. King (PA), Anthony Price Jr. (OH), Shirley A. Price (OH), Beulah Price-Gates (Michael) (OH), and Robert E. Price (CA). 2 Siblings; Lula Bogard (OH) and George Swopshire (TN). She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. HOME GOING SERVICES WILL BE ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 13; WAKE 9:30 AM, FUNERAL 10:00 AM at East Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 9990 Euclid Avenue. Interment in Cleveland Memorial Gardens.
