Rufus was united in holy matrimony to the late, Daisy Marshall-Alexander, on June 11, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was always fashion forward. In fact, he didn't own a single pair of blue jeans. When you saw him you were sure to recognize his distinctive Stacy Adams as well as his love of hats. Rufus lead an active life for many years and was known to unexpectedly pull up in a luxury vehicle. He was quick natured and if you were in need of a good laugh along with a dose of reality he was sure to give it to you. During his leisure time Rufus enjoyed watching game shows and sporting events. As the only child Rufus unconditionally loved his mother, Bertha Alexander, whom he dedicated his life to until her passing. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially a host of close cousins who were more like siblings. Rufus enjoyed spending time with the kids and a visit from them would brighten his day. When the children were around he would infectiously laugh and say, "I've never seen kids like these!" Rufus had a fond attachment to the children. He even nicked named Aaron, Jessie James. Malik was sure to keep hisattention while getting into something or asking Rufus a million questions but when the time came that he needed something he was sure to ask Lil Doug for help. Rufus went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 16, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Bertha Alexander. Rufus will forever dwell in the heart of our family.
