Roslind Jackson was born March 12, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio to Josephine, and Samuel G. Jackson. She was sister to Janice, Helen, and Tyrone, who affectionately called her "Lynn."
Roslind gave her life to Christ at an early age while attending church with her grandfather, Robert Burks. Roslind attended FDR and Glenville located in the greater Cleveland area. She gave birth to children, Samuel who was named in honor of her father, and daughter, Lekeisha. Roslind met and married her former husband, Robert Lewis.
Roslind worked at Montefiore Nursing home for twenty years in environmental services and was accredited with starting a Union. She was chosen by her peers to represent them as the Union steward. Her tenacity and dedication translated to recognition by her peers, and Montefiore Home. Roslind was a resident of East Cleveland for over 40 years.
Roslind had a very good heart, she was always lending a helping hand any way she could, even when she didn't have it, she would give you her last even on a fixed income. She was known for her candid and straight forward attitude, if you didn't want some hard truth, don't call "Lynn."
She passed away October 24, 2023, at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine, and Samuel Jackson; one sister, Joann; one brother, Ricky; and grandfather, Robert Burks.
Roslind is survived by her son, Samuel; daughter, Lekeisha; Grandchildren, Latrisha, Sierra, Najatt, Tatyana, Simone, Brian, and Bianca; three great grandchildren; best friend, Helen Ross; nieces, and nephew, who she nicknamed "The Jackson 5", Jennice, Laketta, JoAnn, Patricia, and Greg Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
