ROSEA MAE BROWN, 81 was born July 16, 1930 in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania to Lucious and Cornelia Brown (nee Owens). She passed away October 30, 2011 in Cleveland, Ohio from Lung Cancer. Rosea Brown attended Fairmount Junior High school in her hometown of Brackenridge. She accepted Christ at an early age, joining Friendship Baptist Church. As a devout Christian, she attended many places of fellowship in Cleveland, Ohio. Although never married, Rosea welcomed to Earth two beautiful children, Maurice Brown Sr. (1949) and Maria Antoinette Brown-Price (1957). Rosea was employed as a caregiver and housekeeper to many different families in various suburbs of Cleveland. She loved children and was extremely devoted to taking care of her family. Her hobbies included sewing, church, family, cooking, cleaning, puzzles, "numbers" and cowboys. She was famous for her "mess" burgers and peach/apple cobbler. Rosea, affectionately known as "Rose" and Grandma was called home on October 30, 2011. Those who preceded her in death are parents, Lucious and Cornelia Brown; brothers, George Brown, Edward Brown Sr., Rev. Robert Brown; son, Maurice Brown Sr., (Helen Brown, also deceased) and daughter, Maria Antoinette Brown-Price (James B. Price). She leaves behind to cherish brother, Samuel Brown; grandchildren, Maurice Brown, Jr. (Carletta Peoples-Brown), Melinda S. Brown-Golphin (Earnest Golphin), Marla R. O'Neal and Brandon J. Price (Taisha Walker); great-grandchildren, Maurice Brown III, Michael M. Brown, Deianna S. Brown, Carlos Griffin, Christopher Brown-Griffin, Malik M. Brown, Alexus Wallace, Devin Price, Derrick Price, James B. Price, Victor Price, Cherice Bowman, Cherelle Peoples, Channel Peoples, Preston Alexander Price; great-great grandchild Ayeianna Antoinette Brown; nephew Edward Brown Jr.; niece April Brown; cousins, Betty Griffin, Peggy Ann Griffin and a host of other relatives and friends.
