Rosalind Reeves

August 12, 1956 — September 4, 2022

On Sunday, August 12, 1956, Louise and William Reeves came to the decision to name their eighth child after then-popular actress Rosalind Russell; and thus Rosalind Reeves, aka "Rozz", "Tweety Bird", "Egg", and "The House Lady" emerged. Rozz, the ultimate personification of the astrological sign Leo: outspoken, vivacious, showy, and passionate, touched all that she encountered and was loved by everyone.

Educated in the East Cleveland School System, Rozz was a 1974 graduate of Shaw High School. Fashionable, friendly, popular, and an avid cheerleader, Rozz loved to dance, skate and sing. Upon graduation, she worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company and later the United States Postal Service.

An excellent "hand" dancer and songstress, Rozz loved music, her favorites being Charlie Wilson, Stevie Wonder, and Peabo Bryson.

Rozz committed herself to her Buddhist practice in the SGI (Soka Gakkai International).

A "free spirit", Rozz loved a good time, a great laugh, and the love of her family. She will always be remembered for her laugh, quick wit, effervescent presence, and true devotion to family.

She leaves to mourn her eight siblings, Justine, Janice, Juanita, Marietta, Constance, William Jr., Phyllis, and Jacqueline. Also a host of nieces, nephews, four great-nieces and four great-nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rozz's was preceded in death by her parents, William, Sr. and Louise; and nephew, William Chance.

In the words of Stevie Wonder, Roz will be "loved.....ALWAYS"!
