Ronald Tolliver

April 8, 1944 — November 16, 2020

Ronald Tolliver, passed away Sunday, November 15th, 2020. He was born to Louis & Geneva Tolliver in Cleveland, OH on April 8th, 1944.

Ronald accepted Christ at a young age. He attended Woodridge Elementary and graduated from John Hay High School. Following completion of his education, Ronald worked for Lincoln Electric and Leece-Neville (Prestolite) until his retirement in 1991.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Louis & Geneva Tolliver, sisters Phyllis (Bunchie) Jordan, Lenora (Fannie) Shaw, and brothers Melvin & Tony Tolliver. Rena Mae Dorsey Stinson (Lewis), Colonel Lee Dorsey, and Howard Anthony Humphries (Ellinor).

Ronald leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Charlie Mae (Thompson) Tolliver of Montgomery, AL; eight daughters, Annetta Hicks (Leroy), and LaShondra Schwab (Christopher) of Verona, KY; Brenda, Geneva, Marcia, Lady, Faye, Trina; and son Donell. He also leaves behind his sibling’s Delores Robertson, Louis Ward, Alma Brewton, Elias Tolliver, Brenda Tolliver Jackie Dorsey Battle (Ivan), Benethia Dorsey Matthews (Floyd), Anthony Dorsey (Helen), Cedric Dorsey of Montgomery, AL, Cynthia Humphries-Davison (Cuthbert) and Calvin Gilbert Humphries (Sandra), of Pittsburgh, PA. Charles Wesley Humphries, III of Richmond, VA., and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ronald was an avid bowler and golfer; he possessed many trophies as a testament to his skills. Aside from the following Ronald would never shy away from the opportunity to give anyone a lift or friendly assistance (friend and stranger alike).

Ronald will always be remembered for his hard work, humorous nature, and his usage of the phrase “This world is not my home; I’m just passing through.”
