Ronald Johnson affectionately known as Scooter was born August 30, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio to Ronald and Michelle Towns (both preceded him in death). Scooter was the oldest of four children from this union.
Ronald accepted Christ at a young age and was Baptized at Eaglewing Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Henry O Maxwell.
Ronald attended the Cleveland Heights-University Heights school district where he was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Robert and Lillie Holmes. As a youth he was very active in sports and boxed for East Cleveland Pal. Ronald was an original Heights Homeboy where a lifelong brotherhood was established. Those who knew him well knew he loved his CH-UH family. Ronald enlisted in the United States Navy after graduating in 1989. Ronald was based in New Orleans where he was Seamen Private First Class of Company 90-061 division 13th on USS Rushmore. Ronald received an honorable discharge from the Navy.
Ronald was united in matrimony to the love of his life Aretha Tucker on July 16, 2016. Ronald and Aretha enjoyed spending quality time together entertaining, shopping and traveling. Most of all they enjoyed spending time with their children, grandchildren and family. All that knew him knew he was a family man who loved his family with all his heart.
Ronald was employed with the City of Cleveland for many years until his health failed. To know Ronald was to love him as he was well known in many communities throughout Cleveland.
Ronald was always a fighter up until the very end. On July 23, 2023 he transitioned from this life to his heavenly reward. He leaves to cherish his memory wife Aretha; his children Desiree, Khalil, Ashley, Tori Rae, Devontae, Clarissa, Aretha and Tear. He also leaves to cherish his memory his siblings Rhonda (Garry), Ronice, Jamie, Arieus, Maria, Bridget and Shamika. His cousin who was more like a brother Van (Robbie). His grandchildren Khaliah, Caiden, Bryce, True and Ryane. A host of aunties, uncles, cousins' family and friends.
