Robert Thomas Jr.

May 5, 1925 — March 10, 2014

ROBERT THOMAS JR., 88; Passed away on Monday, March 10,2014. Memorial services begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's witnesses, 3900 Central Avenue. Interment is private. Robert Thomas Jr. was born on May 5, 1925 in Talbotton, Georgia to Robert Thomas Sr. and Willie Carter. He attended Talbotton Public Schools and later relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. Robert worked hard to support himself and his family. He was such a diligent worker that the Caterpillar Company recognized his commitment and gave him the UPO Key man Award in June of 1978. In 1956, Robert found and accepted the truth and was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses. On June 8, 1974, Robert was joined in marriage to Doris Wallace. They faithfully served Jehovah together. He served as an Elder in the Forest Hills and Woodland Congregations. The love that Robert and Doris had for the ministry moved them both to become regular Pioneers, and Robert continued to serve in both capacities until his death. His goal in life was to serve Jehovah and to help others do the same. Robert achieved that goal. He fell asleep in death on March 10, 2014 and is now in Jehovahs memory, awaiting the promised resurrection. Robert leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Doris; his sons, Cecil, Kenneth, Melvin, and Jerome Thomas; stepdaughter, Tracey Wallace; brother, Isaac (Ida Pearl); sister, Mary Floyd (John); Christopher Wallace and many other grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and a worldwide brotherhood of over 7 million. Lovingly Submitted, The Family
