Robert Rutledge

The Entry: Robert Rutledge, Jr. (Surename: Uncle June & U) was born on February 8, 1932, in Bessemer, Alabama. He was the second child to bless the late Robert Rutledge, Sr. & Ruth Greene, three siblings preceded him in death, Idell Jackson, Elijah Rutledge, and Joann Nettles.

Robert accepted Christ at an early age at Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor, Morris Johnson.

Robert went to Shades Valley School in Bessemer, Alabama, where he learned Home Improvement skills.

Employment: He was a handyman for most of his life, doing odd jobs and helping out whoever needed him at that time.

Gratitude: Robert your sister Patricia would like to thank you for caretaking our mother all those many years.

Departure: On Saturday, February 13, 2021, at South Point Hospital, Robert made his transition to his final resting place.

Loved Ones: Robert leaves to cherish his memories, while mourning his passing, his loving sister Patricia Valentine; a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Robert, your sister Patricia would like to give gratitude to you for being the best caretaker for our mother Ruth Greene for all the days of her life until she met her demise.
