Robert Lee "Rob" James born August 2, 1951 in Cleveland Ohio to Elijah James and Rose Lee Melton. Rob was the second oldest of eight siblings.
Rob attended and graduated from Thomas Edison high school. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age. Rob did not have a church home but his love for Christ allowed him to attend church on different occasions until his health began to fail, even then he became a devotional reader of the Bible and would start each day off reading the word of God. Rob was blessed to have one daughter who lives in Chicago, Illinois Kneeska (Alcil), she has two brothers that he claimed as his own Terry and Billy, and from a previous marriage Rob had three stepchildren Tyrone, Tiffany, and Tamika (Monique).
Rob was employed at the recycle company, he was a reliable and dedicated employee until he retired. He would then use his talents as a painter and a mover to paint houses and help others move, Rob became very handy and would take on side jobs as a way to keep busy and earn money. Rob had nothing but love for his family. He always made you laugh, whenever you saw him you could count on him to have a hilarious story to tell and each conversation was filled with humor. He was a jokester, he had a sarcastic kind of humor. Rob loved sports and to share his opinion on politics. He was well known in the neighborhood, all the kids loved to come talk to him when they saw him. Rod is loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Sadly, Rob lost his battle and departed this life on March 16, 2021.
