Robert Earl Hill

Robert Earl Hill was born April 18, 1948 to Jerome Hill Jr. and Laura Ellen Barnes-Hill, he was the first of five children. Robert was his granddaddy Hill's name sake. At an early age he received Christ as his personal savior and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Martentown, a small community in Bessemer, Alabama. Robert attended Raemund Elementary school, Muscoda Jr. High and Wenonah High School, and graduated in May 1966 from Wenoah High School. Robert moved to Cleveland, Ohio in the summer of 1966 after graduating high school, then worked at Huron Road Hospital for over 25 years also part time with a cleaning company; as well as Home Depot until illness took its toll. Robert was a devoted and loving father. Robert was preceded in death by his father, mother and two siblings, Jerome Hill Jr. in 1994 and Larry Darnell in 2009. Robert leaves to mourn a devoted son, Alonzo; lifelong devoted companion Betty Bolden; sister, Donnis Mone Hill Ferrell; one brother, Herman Derman Hill; three loving aunts, Betty's grandson Isaiah and their family as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
