Richard Jones

d. December 16, 2010

Richard G. Jones was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 27, 1979. He was the second child born to Gordon and Marguerite Jones. Richard was an active member of the Historic Greater Friendship Baptist Church. In the early 1980's and 1990's he had attended faithfully with his grandmother, mother Thelma Winston. He was a member of the youth department and the member of the youth Usher Board. Richard loved the Lord and loved the Church. Richard G. Jones accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age and was baptized at The Historic Greater Friendship Baptist Church. Richard attended high school at Warrensville Heights, Ohio. From his youth, he always kept a journal and loved to listen to music. He was passionate about sketching all sorts of scenery and had a desire to be a great artist. He also had a strong curiosity for technology and enjoyed tinkering with modern devices to see how they worked and how they were constructed. Richard suffered for many years with an illness caused by a horrific accident in his youth. In spite of his illness, his main objective was to be as independent as possible. He had purpose in his heart to live a normal life, to no avail. The hospital seemed to be his second home. The good Lord granted him the desire of his heart, and then whisked him away from all of his afflictions. THANK GOD, God makes no mistakes and does all things well. We also thank God for his provision for us, Jesus Christ our Lord. Richard G. Jones leaves to mourn; Two grandparents, Thelma Winston, and Estella Jones of Cleveland, Ohio; Two parents, Gordon Jones, and Marguerite Jones of Cleveland, Ohio; One brother, Amont Jones of Cleveland, Ohio; Four sisters, Jacqueline Gillespie, Celina Jones, Kristen Jones, and Ayeshah Jones, of Cleveland, Ohio; Two nephews, Monterell and Dosmaley Gillespie; Two nieces, Tamia Jones and Taliyah Smith of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of out of town relatives and friends.
