Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church 9902 St. Clair Avenue Cleveland, Ohio Prince Ella McClure was born on July 24, 1927 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Prince McClure and John Ella McCarden-McClure. Prince Ella was the first born of five children in whom two preceded her in death, Robert and George. Prince Ella attended Park High School. She joined Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age. She was a great gospel singer in the choir. Prince Ella met and married Eddie C. Harris (deceased) after he returned from the Navy and then they moved to Cleveland, Ohio. From this union they were blessed with three wonderful children. She worked at Warner Brothers and the Meat market for several years. Prince Ella loved everyone. She had a great spirit of giving and helping people in need. She helped people in their homes with washing, cooking, ironing, and cleaning. Prince Ella joined Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Alvin T. Jones, Pastor. She truly loved the Lord and loved to hear gospel music. Prince Ella leaves to cherish her two daughters, Charlotte Blackshear (Ronnie, deceased), and Deborah Radcliff (Edward, deceased); one son, Eddie Harris Jr. (Lula) both deceased; one beloved sister, Dorothy (Jimmy, deceased); one beloved brother, John "J.C."; brother-in-law, James Harris; eight grandchildren and one deceased; seventeen great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
