PAULINE D. SNELL MILLER, 57; Passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013. She was born March 27, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio to both the late Ethel Matthews and George Snell. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a proud member of East Mount Zion Baptist Church where she faithfully served on Usher Board Number 2 and in the Sanctary Church Choir. Pauline attended Glenville High School and married her childhood sweetheart, James Michael Miller. To this union two beautiful children were born; Michelle (Terrance) and Pauline II; affectionately known as "Till" and "Toowee". She worked very hard, sometimes two jobs, to raise her daughters. She stressed education and discipline. Pauline was one of those mothers who would give you the look and you knew to stop whatever it was you were doing. If she wasn't around, the threat of a phone call would get you in line. She was very protective of her family and made sure her children as well as her younger brothers and sisters knew how to defend themselves. Pauline was not afraid to try new things including moving to different places. Such as San Bernadino County, CA., Houston, TX., Baltimore, MD., Atlanta, GA., and Gastonia, NC., but Cleveland, OH., was her home and final resting place. Her mother, father and sister Karen preceded her in death. She leaves behind two daughters; Michelle (Till) and Pauline II (Toowee), five grandchildren; Ashawntia (21), Julius (19), Airman Davis (Brandon)(19), Katherine (Penny) (16) and Ryan (10). Pauline also leaves nine brothers and sisters; George, Patricia, Michael, Tommy, Kenneth, Yolanda, Joyce, Audrey and Edward, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. To know our mother is to realize that life is often a roller coaster, A series of ups and downs; the ups were amazing and the downs were learning experiences and often took time to understand, but through it all we knew we were loved and she did her best. SERVICES ARE ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 31, 2013; WAKE AT 10:00 AM AND MEMORIAL SERVICE AT 10:30 AM at East Mount Zion Baptist Church, 9990 Euclid Avenue.
