Services on Friday, April 22, 2016; Wake starting at 12:30 PM and Funeral Service at 1:00 PM Pauline Broome was born in Athens Alabama on April 12, 1936 to the late Zandy and Ruby Lee Mason, she was one of six children. One brother Zandy Mason preceded her in death. Pauline moved to Twinsburg Ohio in November 1951 with her family and completed her education in the Twinsburg City School District. She met the love of her life, Robert Lee Broome Sr. and they were united in holy matrimony on December 24, 1955, from this union five children were born. They were married for 50 years prior to his death in 2005. Pauline accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She was a member of Parkwood C.M.E. Church in Cleveland, Ohio for many years. Her favorite gospel song was Rough Side of the Mountain. She would read her bible several times a day and her favorite bible verse was John 11:35-Jesus Wept. Pauline spent most of her years as a devoted housewife and child care provider. She cared for countless children of her neighbors, family and friends. She retired from child care in 1998. Pauline was an avid sports fan enjoying baseball and basketball. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling with her husband, Robert. Pauline had a "green thumb" and always kept flowers both inside and outside of her home. She also enjoyed cooking and was the "Kitchen Hotline" for many of her children and grandchildren. Pauline entered her eternal rest at the age of 80 on Friday April 15, 2016 at her home under hospice care after a brief illness. She leaves to cherish her memories, five loving children, Jo Ann Rattiliff, Robert L. Broome Jr, Margaret (Ricardo) Terry, Michael (Veda) Broome and Alexandria (James) Broome all of Euclid Ohio; A daughter-in-law Paula Broome, Columbus Oh; Fifteen grandchildren; Cherria Broome, Siobhan Broome, Katrina (Anthony) Malone, Ondreia (Joseph) Parsons, Marcus Broome, Michael Broome, Teila Nelson, Jennifer Broome, Maurice Broome, Domonique Broome, Vanessa Broome, Gabrielle Broome, Madison Broome and Jonathan Broome; Seven great grandchildren; Lamonte, Brandon, Ernoni, Tonia, Makayla, Chloe and Toni; Four siblings; Jeanette Brown, Twinsburg Oh, Solomon Mason, Macedonia Oh, Margie (Clyde) Smith, Akron, Oh and Alonzo (Rosie) Mason, Cleveland Oh; Three sisters-in-law; Julia Broome, Maggie Philpotts and Martile Broome.
