Paul Reeves

Mr. Paul Reeves Sr. was called home to rest on August 14, 2018.  Paul was born December 13, 1927, to Joe and Emma Reeves in Abbeville, Alabama who both preceded him in death.  Paul's early education was completed at Free Gift Elementary School in Abbeville Alabama and later attended Coyne Electrical School. Paul was drafted into the United States Army in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1949. After leaving the Army, Paul moved to Chicago, Illinois.  In 1953 Paul married Catherine Perry, who preceded him in death. To this union three sons were born, Paul Jr., Darrell (who preceded him in death) and Dawud. Paul later married Azalea (Penny). Paul started his Christian journey in Abbeville Alabama He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago. He continued his walk with God in Ohio. Paul was a Television Repairman for several years and later worked for the United States Government until he retired.   Paul was a very hard worker and was a respected employee. In addition to his parents and son, he was also preceded in death by his three sisters, Sarah O'Hara, Hannah Irene Woodson, Anna Stephens two brothers, Josh Spencer and William Reeves. Paul leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Azalea "Penny" Reeves; three sons, Paul Reeves Jr., Dawud Abudun-nur and Roland Dykes; one sister, Willie Mae Bowling of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Elijah Reeves of  Newark, New Jersey; twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Paul Reeves, 90; passed away Tuesday, August 14th; Public Viewing 9 AM to 7 PM Thursday, August 23rd & Funeral Services begin 10 AM Friday, August 24th at Watson's Funeral Home 10913 Superior Ave. Cle 44106
