Patrick Anthony Ledyard

Patrick A. Ledyard was born on July 16, 1944, the third son of Edward, and Molly Ledyard.

Patrick was baptized at a young age at the Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church. Patrick, by no means was a St. He wasn't a. Believer of the term. Turn the other cheek. But he was a kindhearted person, who would give you the shirt off his back. Patrick was always curious about things. He would test the waters, sort of lighthearted mischief.

Patrick attended and graduated from East Technical High School and was active in sports. Patrick entered Golden Gloves as a novice boxer and became a Golden Glove Open Champion several times.

Patrick entered the US Army becoming a Green Beret, serving his country with honor. After his Honorable Discharge from the Army, Patrick worked highly skilled jobs with White Motors, and General Motors.

Patrick met and married Janice White, from their union came a daughter Nicole, who was the apple of his eye.

Patrick leaves cherished memories with one daughter, Nicole; three sisters, Ann Sankey (William), JoAnn (David), and Lena Fagan (Joseph, deceased); four brothers, Edward (Earnestine), Charles (Loretta), McMiller (Rita), and Robert Ledyard (Virginia); two aunts, Fannie (Charles Bell) and Robbie; one uncle, Rev Lee; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
