Nettie Ann Jefferson

NETTIE ANN JEFFERSON affectionately known as "Baby Sister" was born on Wednesday, February 15, 1939 the third child of the union to James and Nettie Mae Jackson of Schlater, Mississippi. She entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Baltimore, MD. Nettie accepted Christ as her Lord and personal Savior at an early age, and moved with her mom and siblings to Cleveland, OH in 1949. Nettie married Abraham L. Jefferson on June 25, 1960 a union that produced four beautiful children, Charmaine E. Jefferson of Baltimore, MD, Michael L. Jefferson and Paul L. Jefferson of Cleveland OH, and Rev. David L. Jefferson of Baltimore, MD, they divorced in 1973. She is survived by her sister Catherine Arrington of Cleveland, OH, sister-in-law Jacqueline Jackson, of Nashville, TN, and brother-in-law Carzell Arrington, of Cleveland, OH. Her brother Robert L. Jackson preceded her in this life. She is survived by three grand children Devontae Jefferson, Breanna Burnley, Lamia Jefferson, and a host of family, nieces, nephews and treasured friends. Educated in the Cleveland Public Schools she graduated from John Hay High School in 1958. As a lifelong learner she continued her education while raising four children going on to earn an Associate of Arts Degree from Cuyahoga Community College in 1992. Nettie retired from the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority after many years of service. Her legacy of unconditional love will forever remain in our hearts as we honor her memory as a loving mother, sister, grand-mother, and friend.
