Naomi Marie Hedge is the second oldest of Layanna Abercrombie and Benjamin Hedge. Naomi was born on August 21st, 1997, at Euclid Meridia Hospital in Euclid Ohio. Naomi accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age while attending Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Naomi enjoyed attending Vacation Bible Study and Sunday School with her grandmother Lydia Crowder, her siblings and cousins.
Naomi attended several Cleveland Metropolitan Schools such as Waverly, Joseph Gallagher, AJ Rickoff, and Garrett Morgan School of Science just to name a few. Naomi completed the requirements to receive her G.E.D in early 2020. Naomi became a mother on December 2nd, 2020, to Josiah Khalil Hedge. Naomi was a wonderful, loving, and caring mother. She was so excited to become a new mother and prided herself on taking good care of Josiah. Naomi showed her love for her son by taking him to parks, reading to him, and helping him learn his ABC's and numbers.
Naomi had a close relationship with her first cousin, Aaron James Scott. They often referred to themselves as "twin cousins". They were inseparable. Especially when they were little when you saw one you saw the other. Naomi was shy as a child and would only open up to her immediate family. As she grew up, she grew into her own and became direct and would say exactly what was on her mind. As an adult one of Naomi's favorite things to do was to roller-skate. She skated at several local skating rinks such as United Skates and Zelma George. She loved to skate and was exceptionally good at it. She also enjoyed track and chess which she often played with father.
Naomi leaves to mourn her passing, mother Layanna Abercrombie, stepdad Lee Abercrombie Sr, father Benjamin Hedge, son Josiah Khalil Hedge, maternal grandmother Lydia Crowder, paternal grandfather Benjamin Hedge Sr. (Carol), paternal grandmother Linda Jackson, sisters Niyala Hedge, Nina Abercrombie, Yasmin Frye, brothers DeVonte Hedge, Lee Abercrombie Jr., Aunt Lia Scott, first cousins Arielle Burrage, and Aaron Scott, and a host of family and friends.
Naomi will be deeply missed.
