Mozell Cottingham Collins fell asleep in death Saturday July 30, 2022 at 2:23pm at the age of 101.
A mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-great grandmother, cousin and friend our beloved mother fell asleep in death and she's now resting safely in God's memory. Mozell also affectionally known as "Moe" was born on April 06, 1921 in West Blocton, Alabama to Henry and Anna Cottingham she was the second of fifteen children.
Mozell Cottingham joined into marriage with Dock Collins on March 18, 1939, in Tuskegee, Virginia for 66 years until he departed this life on February 23, 2002. From their union nine children were born, Pearl McCary, Dock Collins Jr., he preceded his mother in death on April 11, 1997, Eugene Collins, Donald Ray Collins, Roosevelt Collins, Barbara Collins Jackson, Janet Collins Robinson, Pamela Denise Collins, Patricia Ann Collins White.
She accepted Christ at an early age she attended church services at Williams Temple Church of God and Christ in Cleveland, Ohio. Mozell was strong in her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She cared deeply about others, she was a mother by fine example.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Sister: Rev Nettie Hunter of Michigan, Children : Pearl McCary, Eugene Collins ( Denise ), Donald Ray Collins, Roosevelt Collins ( Laura ) , Barbara Collins Jackson of Pittsburgh, Janet Collins Robinson, Pamela Denise Collins , and Patricia Ann Collins White (Albert) . A host ofgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren , nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
