Mary Scruggs Shaheed

Mary Francis Scruggs Shaheed was born on August 17, 1940 in Columbus Georgia to the proud parents of Grace Clark and Clifford Snelling, Sr. Mary attended and completed her schooling in Columbus, Georgia. While in Columbus she met and married her first love Burnell Scruggs. Mary having such a zest for life and a desire to travel with her new husband who was in the military, Mary traveled to many places before settling in Cleveland, Ohio. Mary lived in Cleveland until the untimely passing of her mother, Grace Clark. Always looking for new challenges Mary left her position as a beautician and moved to Mansfield, Ohio. There she embarked on a new career path at General Motors. While on a new career path she also met and married the last love of her life YaYa Shaheed. They enjoyed thirty four years of memories. Preceding Mary in death was her loving parents, Grace and Clifford Sr. Her doting bothers Tom, Woody, LeVester, Clifford Jr., Ottisville, Eugene and her beautiful beloved daughter Bernadette. She is survived by her two brothers Cleveland and Frank, her two daughters Deborah (Fred), Vivian (Lorenza) and her son Michael. Mary is blessed to leave to cherish her memory 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
