Mark A. Davis

Mark A Davis Sr., born January 26, 1932, Uniontown, Pa to the late Charles A Davis and Anna B Washington Davis. He was the fifth of seven born to this union. He was preceded in death by Nellian Davis, William E Davis, Alva Davis Batson, and Joseph E Davis. He is survived by Harry A Davis Sr and Arlene L Davis Willard. Mark attended North Union high school in Uniontown, Pa. He received his certification as a journeyman electrician, as a tailor, certified welder and served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mark accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Second New Hope Baptist Church. He was active with The North Union High School Alumni. He enjoyed accompanying his brother Joseph to the China Burma India Veterans group meetings. He first married Florence Austin in Cleveland, Ohio. This union was blessed with four children, Sandra Ashley, Mark A Davis Jr (deceased), Keith A. Davis and Kenneth B. Davis. Through his second marriage to Anna Green (deceased) he was blessed with three children, Paula C Brooks, James A Brooks III, and Alvin M Davis. Mark worked for General Electric Pittney Glass plant for 34 years and with the Cuyahoga County MMRD as a bus monitor. Mark enjoyed football, as a long time Cleveland Browns season ticket holder. Mark enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends. Mark enjoyed researching his family history and genealogy. Mark went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2016. He leaves to cherish his memory Harry A Davis Sr (Zeda), Arlene L Davis Willard; children Sandra L Ashley, Keith A Davis (Wanda), Kenneth B Davis (Jenita), Paula C Brooks, James A Brooks III, Alvin M Davis (Dayna); grandchildren, Darryl, Traci Cherrica, Marlon, Camille, Kenneth Jr, Charles, Phylicia, James IV, Alexander, Jade, Jayson and Trajan; 15 great-grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
