Margaret R. Mathis

Margaret Ree Mathis, born February 28, 1932, was the oldest of two children born to Rosie Gaines in Marianna, Arkansas. She was called home on Friday, November 29, 2019, at West Memphis Health and Rehab in West Memphis, Arkansas. Margaret received Christ at an early age. She met her late husband, Herman Mathis "Jim", in Forest City, Arkansas, where they united in holy matrimony in 1946. The couple moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1951. Margaret leaves to cherish her memories a niece, Margaret Mathis; nephew, Carl Mathis (Sandra), both of Jennette, Arkansas; and a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. When tomorrow starts without me, And I'm not there to see If the Sun should rise and find your eyes filled with tears for me I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today While thinking of the many things we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you And each time that you think of me, please try to understand That an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand
