Lucinda Milton

Mrs. Lucinda Milton was born June 3, 1916, in Dublin Georgia. She was one of three children born to the late Jim and Louise Baker Hayes. Two brothers, Gatson Hayes and Albert Hayes, both preceded in death. Mrs. Milton confessed her belief in Christ at an early age and joined the Roberson Chapel Church in Dublin, Georgia. She was a very hard worker at the Dublin Steel Mill to provide for her family, in search to go North for a better life for herself and her children. Mrs. Milton came to Cleveland in 1944 a single mother of two; a daughter, Alzonia (neé Guyton) Evans (Ewatis, deceased), and a son, Alex Guyton (Dee). She worked at the Carter Hotel, and the Cleveland Laundry for many years where she met her husband James Milton. She was a very active member as a Willing Worker, and Nursing Gill at Union Grove Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio, and later joined Temple Baptist Church. In October 1954, she was joined in holy matrimony to James (Father Jim) Milton. Mrs. Milton preceded him in death. Family members, she leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish memories, her Devoted Daughter Alzonia (neé Guyton) Evans, (Ewatis Evans Sr. (deceased). Mother to their four children; Gail Karin Evans, Venita Evans, Janet Evans, and Ewatis Evans Jr. (Katie); her devoted son, Alex Guyton, (Dee), Father to his two children; Alex Stallworth (deceased), and Tamika Pearson (Will). (7) Grandchildren, Anthony Johnson (Sue), Karin Thomas (Brandon), Phillippe Johnson, Christine McAlpine, Chareeka Evans, Jose Gonzalez, Jan-Michael Gonzalez; (6) Great-Grandchildren, (16) great-great-grandchildren, Keshawn Pearson, Travon Pearson, Kianana Pearson, Brandi Thomas, Karon Thomas, Amya Thomas, Alaya Thomas, Aliyah Thomas, Aiyahna Thomas, Kaleb Thomas, Laila McAlpine, Parys Johnson, Xaria Johnson, Shammill Johnson, Kenzo Gonzalez, and Kalila Johnson; as well as a host of nieces & nephews.
