Mrs. Louise Brooks was born October 15, 1932, In Bessemer, Alabama, One of 14 children born to Nathan James, and Winnie Miles James. All 13 of her siblings preceded her in death.
Louise graduated from Dunbar High School. She accepted Christ at an early age. After leaving Alabama, Louise came to Cleveland, Ohio where she met her husband, the late Eddie Brooks Jr. From their union came five children, Winifred, Gloria, Eddie, Gregory, and Renee.
Louise worked in the Cleveland Public School system where she retired after 25 years. Louise loved children, she was the neighborhood, mom!! She loved to shop. She loved to cook and bake, especially cakes. She would bake a cake for everyone on their birthday (the cake of their choice). Louise went home to the Lord on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
Louise Brooks was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan, and Winnie James; a devoted husband, Eddie Brooks Jr; 13 sisters and brothers; and two grandchildren, Eric Youngblood, and Eddron Youngblood.
Louise leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Winifred Jennens (Terry), Gloria Youngblood, Eddie Brooks III (Pat), Gregory Brooks, and Renee Brooks; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
