A Time to be Born:Loretta Dean Sanders was born December 19, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio to Clarence Sanders and the Late Hazel Sanders. A Time to Learn: Loretta was educated in the Cleveland Public School System. She was employed as an STNA at Sunny Acres Hospital for several years. A Time to Plant: Loretta was united in holy matrimony to Alvin Laney who preceded her in death. Although they didn't have any children of their own, she had a lot of nieces and nephews that she treated like her very own. A Time to Serve: Loretta accepted Christ as her personal Savior and in her later years joined Calvary Hill Missionary Baptist Church. A Time for Hobbies, Accomplishments & Entertainment: Loretta affectionately know as "Lo", "LoLo" and "Retta" was a family oriented person. She loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. She especially loved to cook; always wanting to cook for her Daddy. Loretta had a giving spirit and would help you in any way she could. She would even do without to help someone else. Her sweet gentle spirit touched everyone she met. Her favorite spiritual songs were the same as her late grandmother, Laura Pleasants and her Auntie, "Precious Lord" and "Amazing Grace," respectively. She also loved Al Green with "Love and Happiness" being her favorite. A Time to Die: Loretta departed this life on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 1:32 PM at Ahuja Medical Center after a long battle with illnesses. The last months of her life were a struggle but she proved herself to be a true warrior. Her brother, Charles and baby Laney preceded her in death; A Time to Weep & A Time to Mourn: Loretta leaves to cherish and treasure her memory, her father, Clarence Sanders; three sisters, Celeste Boyd, Lanette Boyd (R.B. Winston), and Jackie Sanders; Auntie Laura Ann Watkins, all of Cleveland, OH; aunts, Ruby Harrison of Akron, OH; Ruby Smart and Irene Boyd of Detroit, MI; also left to remember the good times are Special Friends - Sabrina Sanford and Carolyn Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other treasured family and friends. SERVICES ON SATURDAY, MAY 18; WAKE 3:00 PM, FUNERAL 3:30 PM at Watson's Funeral Home, 10913 Superior Avenue.
