Lillie L. Harris

July 2, 1934 — August 3, 2022

Lillie Lou was one of many children born to James Moon and Bertha Taylor on July 2, 1934 in Tallassee, Alabama. She was not raised by her birth parents who had eight other children. They entrusted this duty to a wonderful lady named Sally James, who Lillie adored and referred to as "Mom Sally". Mom Sally loved and cared for her raising her to have faith, and to be kind and hard working.

She was educated in her home town and at 16 married and moved to Cleveland, Ohio. No children were from this union. As a young lady she gave her life to Christ under J.W. Hayes @Hayes Temple C.O.G.I.C. She attended and joined Williams Temple C.O.G.I.C. under Bishop Miller. It was here that she met and married Eugene Harris (deceased). This union produced two children.

Lillie was a stay at home Mom until her children were in Middle School. She stayed busy volunteering in numerous organizations such as PTA President, Usher Board, etc. She worked for McCall's Hotel for several years and then became employed at Hahn, Loeser and Parks Attorneys At Law in Hospitality. She retired from here in the mid 90's with a huge surprise party and an all expense paid trip to California she enjoyed with family. Lillie loved gardening, collecting elephants, helping people and spending time with loved ones. She made her transition on August 3, 2022.

Immediate family preceding her in death are Eugene Harris (Husband), Howard Harris (Brother in Law), Otis Harris (Father in Law) Annie L. Harris (Mother in Law) and a host of other family.

Family left to cherish her memory are her Daughter Regina Hollis (Maurice) and her Son Myron Harris (Erika). Grandsons Walter Hollins and Maurice Hollis Jr., Granddaughters Alleisha Wade, Tiana Bohanon and Ashley Ikner and 5 great grandchildren. Her adored "Grandpups" Pierre, Little and Ellie. A multitude of family, extended family, church family, friends and neighbors. Lillie was a exceptionally kind and caring lady who tried to help anyone that needed it. Her strong love of God came first in her life which filled her with faith, joy and positivity that she gave to everyone she encountered. Lillie is now at peace and will truly be missed.
