Leslie Gene Harris was born on July 26, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to Horace Joyner Jr. (deceased) and Alberta Harris (deceased). He was the fourth born of nine children. Leslie graduated from East Technical High School with General Studies with a Diploma earned on June 1975. He studied Law at Tri-C Community college for one year. He also studied at Case Western Reserve where he received a certificate for private police training. Leslie joined the United States Army which ended with a medical discharge. He was employed by the City of Cleveland as a Para police. He was employed by the CMHA Police Department. He was also employed by Richmond Heights University Hospital and Saint Vincent Charity Hospital as a Protective Services officer. He leaves to mourn his wife Denise M. Harris, three children, Lashonda Chillous, Leslie Harris Jr., and Laya Harris. He also had a daughter LaNisha Janay Harris who preceded him in death. Three grandchildren Alexis Taylor, Iyonna Rollins, and India Rollins. Seven siblings Donzella Harris, Carl Harris, Daryel Harris, Arnold Harris, Denise Harris, Robert Harris and Ardella Harris. He also has a sister, Misty Harris, who preceded him in death. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Leslie was an outstanding artist and guitarist. Leslie passed away at Western Reserve Hospice to join the angels on July 21st, 2018. He will be missed terribly.
