Leonard M. Dickey

May 14, 1954 — June 8, 2022

Was born in Nashville Tennessee, the oldest of two children born from the union of the late Leonard Sr. and Louise R. Edmondson, but he was raised, loved and nurtured by the late Thomas E. Jackson.

At the young age of 2 the family relocated to Cleveland, while as a young child he attended Crawford Road Church, he was educated in Cleveland Public School System and graduated from Glenville High School with the Class of 1973. Known as "Dickey" by his close friends, he received his "G" while running with the Cross-Country Track Team and he excelled in his Drafting classes which he continued at Ohio Wesleyan University. Feeling the need to do more, Leonard joined the US Marine Corp in 1978 where he received the Rifle Expert, Sharp Shooter badge. Leonard held a few positions over the years, but he preferred working outdoors which was the last position he held with the Euclid Parks Department, he was a quiet person, who was always smiling, he enjoyed drafting, working on model cars, rock music, watching movies, documentaries and any type of sports and always enjoyed having a good home cooked meal.

Leonard struggled with health issues for a number of years but on June 8, 2022, he struggled no more.

Leonard Michael Dickey Jr. is survived by: sister Reba,
nephew Rickie Holmes Jr., brother-n-law Rickie Holmes Sr.
Cousins Margaret Berry (Tennessee), Shirley Singleton (Bedford), Dianne Banks (Indiana), along with numerous other relatives & friends.
