Laverne Moore

Laverne Moore passed away on March 10, 2024. She was born October 2, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents, Willie & Syvella Moore

Laverne graduated from Glenville High School in 1971. She went to work as a transit operator with RTA in 1976, where she stayed for 35 years. She won many rodeo's for being the best transit operator in her division and was well respected.

Laverne was well loved and enjoyed hosting parties at her home. She loved to entertain and welcomed everyone, her house was the place to be. She loved dressing up and nice cars. Laverne was also a great line dancer. She moved to North Carolina in 2006 and later moved back to Cleveland Ohio in 2020

Laverne's departure comes as a great shock, and leaves a deep wound. She will be missed by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply. She is at peace now, and will be joining family, friends and most of all she will be joining the hands of Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr & Mrs Willie Moore; and six siblings, Ruby, Joan, Gwendolyn, Willie Jr. Beverly and Larry.

She leaves cherished memories to her daughter, Cheryl Strowder and son inlaw Brian Strowder; two siblings, Rosie Moore , Leonard Moore; three grandchildren, Brian II (Tamarra), Valencia, and Christopher,; one great-grandchild, Brianna; along with eight nieces; seven nephews, 33 great-nieces and great-nephews as well as countless friends.
