LaRue B. HAYES JR. was born to Diane Oliver-Hayes and the late LaRue B. Hayes Sr. on March 16, 1972, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the eldest of two children. He shared an unbreakable bond with his younger sister, Tiyona Hayes. LaRue obtained his education in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Throughout the years, LaRue was employed in various jobs, particularly in construction. At an early age he accepted Christ and was baptized at East Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Recently LaRue made the decision to rededicate his life to Christ. LaRue's legacy is one of a family man, a provider and protector. He was the proud father of Tiyona Hayes, LaRue Hayes, and Dania Gary, grandfather of a newborn baby girl, Angela Hayes. His children were his world. Over the years, he affectionately cared for his mother and helped to raise his sister. He was a very supportive to his niece and nephew as well. Of LaRue's many interests, he was most passionate about sports. He was a big fan of football, often watching, or either playing it himself. Also, he would delight in watching a competitive game of basketball. LaRue had a hearty appetite and looked forward to holiday meals, especially on Thanksgiving. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends he was considered a brother to many. LaRue leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Diane Hayes; daughter, Tiyona Hayes; son, LaRue Hayes; daughter, Diana Gary; sister, Tiyona Hayes; nephew, Josiah Owens; niece Ja'Niyah Owens and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and close friends.
