Kimberlee Gaines, 54 years of age, affectionately known to all as Kim was born in Cleveland on December 4, 1957. She passed away at her daughter's home on April 27, 2022.
Kim is survived by her children Tanisha and Dan Jackson III, her sister Janis Hill and her brother Barry Gaines. She was preceded in death by both parents Mattie and Flavors Gaines and stepfather Fredrick Obrero, and her husband Dan Jackson Jr.
Kim's formal education began when she attended Lulu Diehl Junior High School in Cleveland, Ohio. The all-girls school prepared her for her next educational journey. She became a John Hay Bookkeeper where she graduated in 1975. Shortly after, she became a dedicated employee of the Cleveland, Ohio branch of the Federal Reserve Bank. She was employed as a Business Analyst and Trainer. Her 25 years of service allowed her to travel from major cities in the United States and several countries all over the world implementing banking payroll systems and training for the military.
Kim confessed her belief in Christ at an early age, where she joined Olivet Institutional Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio, and remained active until her illness.
On April 27, 1984, she was joined in Holy Matrimony by Dan Jackson Jr. and to this union, 2 children were born: Tanisha Nicole and Dan Lee Jackson III. Kim and Dan stayed married until the time of his death on September 2, 2011.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish memories of her devoted daughter and son Tanisha and Dan, stepdaughter Danielle (Ken), her sister and Brother Janis Hill and Barry Gaines, (Dana). She also leaves to mourn 6 grandchildren: Lavelle, Velonte, Alea, D'sean, Javaun and Orris; nephews Eric Gaines and Parish Hill. Special friends Josephine Katie Evans and Kimberly Marshall. A host of family and friends.
