Jimmie Lou Smith (Wilcoxon) was born in Dall, Alabama, on January 18, 1917, to her parents Oscar and Allie Mae Wilcoxon, who preceded her in death. Jimmie's son Oscar also preceded her in death. In October of 1952, Jimmie was united in matrimony to Clyde Smith. They were married for 54 years, until his passing in September of 2006. Jimmie was employed by the United States Postal Service for approximately 32 years, before her retirement. Jimmie liked to crochet, work cross word and word find puzzles, and reading. She also enjoyed out of town trips with her co-worker. Jimmie was very soft spoken, and always had a very pleasant disposition. Before moving to Euclid, she was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church, and served on the usher board for several years. Jimmie had been a resident at Gateway Health and Rehabilitation Center for 8 ½ years. The staff loved her, and gave her the most excellent care possible, and for that they are to be commended. Her family is forever grateful for this. Jimmie Lou Smith departed this life on September 27, 2010, after a lengthy illness. She leaves to mourn her passing, her stepchildren, Joseph A. Smith of Portland, Oregon, Jane Tobias Gradford of Cleveland, Ohio, and Catherine (Rev.
