Jason La'Chaz, beloved son of Timothy Lee Johnson and Arnetia Wall, was born on March 21, 1982, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was one of three siblings, including his older brother Jatanyen L. Wall and younger sister Brittany Marie Barber.
During his formative years, Jason attended Superior Elementary, Harry E. Davis, and Max Hayes schools. It was during this time in his life where he met his lifelong Rockland friends, creating a brotherhood that would span over 30 years.
Jason was very personable and would make friends easily. His natural charisma and infectious personality made him very approachable and easy to talk to. He was always laughing, joking, and putting a smile on people's faces. Jason's fun-loving nature and resilience helped him to work his way up to becoming a star salesman at S & P Data.
Known for his various talents, Jason was never afraid to try new things and used his experiences to grow stronger and wiser. He had a deep love and appreciation for music, especially rap, and would often share his passion with those around him. Jason was quite the rapper, with an amazing flow. He wrote and performed a plethora of songs and loved to entertain people with his music.
In addition to his love for music, Jason was an exceptional cook and grill master who took great pride in his craft. He would often cook for friends and family because it was his way of showing hospitality and love. He especially enjoyed holidays and celebrating milestones because it involved good food and good company. Eventually, his love for cooking led him to start his own business called "Wallstreet Eats."
God blessed Jason with three beautiful daughters, Hilda Marie Stewart, Samarah Briel Crawford, and Erica Renee Stewart, and one granddaughter, Harlem Genesis Stewart. He also was blessed with his long-time companion, Tiffany L. Thomas.
On April 15, 2023, Jason answered God's call as His angels whispered his name. He leaves behind a legacy of love and authenticity that will forever live on in the memories of his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Josephine Arnetia Henry, Henry Reginald, Odell Eskridge, and Lula Mae Johnson; aunts, Venus Ward and Rose Marie Hampton (Louis); and his special cousin, sister, and godmother, Torrie Michelle Hampton, whom he loved dearly.
Jason is survived by his three beautiful daughters, Hilda Marie Stewart, Samarah Briel Crawford, and Erica Renee Stewart, his precious granddaughter Harlem Genesis Stewart, along with his parents, Arnetia Wall (Verdine) and Timothy Johnson (Helena), his siblings JT and Brittany, his cousin who was raised as his sister Terri, his Rockland brothers, aunt Jennifer Jones (Darryl), uncles Kevin, Keith, and Karlton Wall, special companion Tiffany, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
