JAMES HODGES BAZEL JR., 67; Passed away on April 24, 2011. The son of Cora Treece Bazel and James Bazel Sr. was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on August 14, 1943. He served his country in the U.S. Army. James was a hard worker, holding down many jobs in his lifetime. He was a Cleveland Auxillary Policeman, worked at Eliza Bryant Nursung Home, and he retired from Watson's Funeral Home. He spent his free time as scorekeeper for the City of Cleveland youth baseball and football teams and was a volunteer at Thurgood Marshall, helping both children and adults. He loved all sports and playing cards with friends. James was a caring and giving person who was a joy to be around. He is survived by confidant and caregiver, Lena E. Mayo; daughters, Yolanda williams (Haywood), Malecia M. Smith (Charles D.) and Jasmine Williams; Grandchildren, Caleb, James, Charles Jr., and Jaylen Smith, Myesha, Na'lonnie Johnson; and friend Fannie Bridges as well as a host of other family and dear friends. SERVICES ARE ON SATURDAY, APRIL 30th, WAKE 12:30 PM with FUNERAL AT 1:00PM at WATSON'S FUNERAL HOME, 10913 Superior Avenue. Burial in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (for Veterans) in Rittman, Ohio.
