Services Saturday, June 2, 2012 WAKE: 10:00 A.M. ~ SERVICE 10:30 A.M. at Aldersgate United Methodist 4069 East Wood Lane Warrensville Heights, Ohio 44122 Irving Keith Mercer was born January 27, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to Clarence (deceased) and Eloyce V. Mercer. He received Christ at Aldersgate Methodist Church in 1988 and was baptized there. He participated in the Angelic Choraleers. Keith received his formal education in the Cleveland Public School System and was a "Proud Graduate" of Glenville High School, Class of 1965. Keith had many diverse interests. He loved cars, motor cycles, and antiques. Being very handy with all tools, he was a master at renovating and decorating. He pursued many activities such as roller skating, dancing and travelling. He loved life! He was a very caring son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He touched many lives with his kindness. He seldom met a stranger and was most encouraging to those he met. He was loved by all who knew him. Irving retired from Giant Eagle Foods after 35 years of employment as a driver. He had a perfect driving record. And he liked to say, "I helped feed America!" Keith leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Claudia, mother Eloyce V. Mercer, daughter Kayla Whiteside (David), stepchildren Lamar, Danielle and Carla. Grandchildren: Randell Hampton, Gabrielle Turner, Lamar Stewart, Jr, Denver Stewart., Matthew David and Jeremiah Whiteside; one great grandchild, Kaidyn Amarie Dimmer and a host of friends.
