Born February 11, 1916 in Bonsville Georgia Ida B. Morgan was the fourth of thirteen children born to the union of Lizzie and Gean Stroud (both deceased). In March 1945 Ida and Blummer Morgan were married and to that union there were four children; Annie (Jackie), William (Billie), Elizabeth (Neg) and Cylinda (Cookie). The family traveled together and in 1945 they settled in Cleveland, Ohio. Ida supported her family working in housekeeping, 9 years at St. Luke's hospital and 17 years at Mount Sinai hospital. She retired in 1983 and focused on enjoying her favorite hobby...her family. Ida, affectionately called "Mother", loved life and she left a positive impression on all those she encountered. Friends and family described her as a strong-willed, independent woman who was devoted to her family. On the afternoon of December 10, 2012 Ida was called home to be with her heavenly father. Ida was preceded in death by 11 of her brothers and sisters and 2 of her children, Billy and Elizabeth. She is survived by her brother, James Stroud; her daughters, Annie and Cylinda; a host of nieces and nephews, other family and friends and the greatest contribution of her life, 12 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 27 great great grandchildren and 4 great great great grandchildren. Although her physical presence will be greatly missed her spirit will continue to live on in the legacy she created. SERVICES BEGIN at 12:30 PM on SATURDAY, DEC. 15 at Watson's Funeral Home, 10913 Superior Avenue. Interment in Cleveland Memorial Gardens.
