HOLLEN G. JORDAN, 79; Public viewing on Friday, July 10th from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. SERVICES SATURDAY, JULY 11; Wake 10:00 AM, Funeral, 10:30 AM at Watson's Funeral Home, 10913 Superior Avenue. Interment in Lake View Cemetery. Hollen G. Jordan (nee. Taylor) departed this life on July 2, 2015. She was born February 17, 1936 in Sawyerville Alabama to Julia T. Lawson and Dan Sims, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by three sisters Alberta Turner, Missouri Drummer, and Carrie Taylor. She graduated from Hale County Training School in Greenboro, Alabama. She married Oties Jordan, Sr. May 2, 1953, from this union six children were born. They moved to Cleveland in 1954. In 1966 Oties and Hollen opened Omar's Ice Cream Parlor, which was a family operated and owned business. Hollen's occupations included sales associate, seamstress, tailor and entrepreneur. She enjoyed playing bingo and bargain shopping. She loved long conversations with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed sharing stories with her grand and great grandchildren. Hollen leaves to mourn six children, A. Marie Hughley (West), Dr. Shirley Jordan Seay(Robert), Victor Jordan, Joseph Carl Jordan (Penny), Oties Jordan, Jr. (Sylvia) and Omar Jordan, Sr. One sister Julia Jones, Tuscaloosa Alabama; three brothers, Charlie Lawson (Pat), Mobile, Alabama; James Lawson (Willie) Freeport, New York; Clint Lawson(Naomi) Mobile, Alabama; 23 Grandchildren, H. Marie Edwards, Leonard Edwards (Roshelle), Shukrea Seay, James Edwards, Adrianne Edwards, Mellany Seay, Lakesha Farrow, Veronica Jordan, William Carl Jordan, Aqueelah Jordan, Gloria Jordan-Kirksey(Brian), Omar Jordan (Vanetta),Terra Jordan( Marquis), Rachelle Jordan, Lachelle Jordan, ShaStar Jordan, Rickita Corbin, Eric Jordan, Michelle Jordan, Mechelle Jordan, Shatara Jordan, William Jordan and Omar Jordan Jr. , 38 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great-Great Grandchildren, two devoted nephews Ike Drummer(Mary) and Theodis Turner (Maria) , two special friends Mattie Gross & Rebecca Terrell and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
