Herbert Eugene Baker Jr

HERBERT EUGENE BAKER JR. (known to family as Jr.) was born January 21, 1955 to Herbert E. Baker and Juanita Thompson Baker of Cleveland, Ohio. Herbert was the youngest of three children; he was baptized at Parkwood Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in 1956 under the late Pastor S.B. Harris. Herbert was educated in the East Cleveland Public School System; he was very athletic and played Little League Baseball and football during his younger years. Upon graduation from high school with a scholarship he attended Baldwin Wallace College and graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1977. After graduating Herbert relocated to Columbus, Ohio to pursue opportunities and there he lived the last seven years in Gahanna, Ohio. Herbert departed this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, he leaves to mourn one daughter, Tiffany Baker and one son, Marcus; parents, Herbert and Juanita Baker of South Euclid, Ohio; brother, Jerome Taylor of Washington D.C.; sister, Joyce (John) Davis of Shaker Heights, Ohio; three nieces, Tamika (Charles) Ivory of Streetsboro, Ohio, Marquita (Mario) Brown of Warrensville, Heights, Ohio and Dawn S. Davis also of Highland Heights; one nephew, Jerome Taylor II of Chicago, Illinois; as well as many friends, among them were Steve McCoy of Cleveland, Ohio and Gary Holmes of Chicago, Illinois. Herbert loved the LORD and found great comfort in quiet prayer and meditation. SERVICES SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10; WAKE 10 AM, FUNERAL 10:30 AM at Watson's Funeral Home, 10913 Superior Avenue. Interment is private.
